This high-energy production features iconic music from fan-favorite musicals and legendary film scores that have inspired audiences for generations.
From the bold determination of Newsies and the heart-stirring magic of Disney’s Cinderella to the haunting beauty of The Phantom of the Opera, our choir, philharmonic, and soloists will bring these timeless stories to life like never before. Enjoy the thrill of the big screen as we perform brilliant orchestral arrangements from cinematic masterpieces, including Star Wars, Jaws, and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

What to Expect:
Rehearsals: Regular rehearsals leading up to the performance, including blocking, combined choir and orchestra practices, and technical run-throughs. See the Members Page for rehearsal and concert information.
Solo & Choir Opportunities: We welcome vocalists with strong stage presence and expressive storytelling abilities to audition for solo roles or to join our powerful choir.,

Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. or Monday, August 18, 2025, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Broadway Soloist Audition Requirements:
16 measures of a selected song from the concert list below.
16 measures of a Broadway-style song of your choosing that you have mastered, to show us a true representation of your talent.
Digital accompaniment tracks are desired. A Bluetooth speaker will be available.
Broadway Audition Notes:
Only songs with a full orchestra score & parts in possession of Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society will be included in the concert.
Songs sung at the audition that are not on the list below will not be considered for this show but may be used in future concerts.
Not everyone who auditions will be given a solo part. To include as many people as possible, group numbers may be programmed.
Soloists will perform in costuming appropriate for their songs; also dancing may be part of the number. The Artistic Director must approve both costumes and dancing.
If you are selected as a soloist, instrumentalist, or choir member, you must adhere to the Schedule on the Members page.
Audition Disclaimer
Please note that auditioning with a specific song does not guarantee you will be cast to perform that song in the concert. The director may assign a different piece based on vocal fit, ensemble needs, and overall production vision. Additionally, you may be asked to perform as part of a group rather than as a soloist. Casting decisions are made to ensure the best musical and artistic experience for both performers and the audience.
